It Happens the Third Saturday of Every Month on FM 1488, and Nobody Charges You to Walk In
By The Magnolia Standard · September 4, 2026
Magnolia Market Days is one of those things that has been running long enough to become furniture. The next one is September 19.
Third Saturday of every month, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the lot at St Paul Lutheran Church at 21088 FM 1488. Admission is free. Parking is free. There is a kids' craft table, and that is free too. You can walk the whole thing in an hour and spend nothing, which is a fair description of a good Saturday.
What is actually there: food trucks, produce, canned goods, plants, baked goods, soap, candles, jewelry, art, home decor, and people who work in wood and leather. The through-line is that the person behind the table generally made the thing on it. That is a different transaction from retail and most people can feel the difference without being told.
The market runs under the Texas Makers Market banner and is listed on the Southwest Montgomery County Chamber's calendar. Vendor questions go to Dorothy Hood at the market, and the vendor side of it is worth knowing about if you have been making something at your kitchen table and wondering whether anybody would buy it. A monthly market with free admission is about the lowest-risk way there is to find out.
One scheduling note for the 19th. That is the same Saturday the Magnolia ISD Livestock Show holds its steer and heifer classes in the morning and its live auction at 6 p.m. The market closes at 2. You can do both, and if you have a kid in either one, you probably already are.
Bring cash. Most vendors take cards now, but the line moves faster when you do not need a signal out on 1488.
