Pho and Dim Sum Under One Roof: Luc Lac Is Open on FM 1488
By The Magnolia Standard · July 24, 2026
A new kitchen on the east end of the corridor is doing two cuisines at once. Luc Lac Asian Cuisine opened June 14 at 6875 FM 1488.
Until this summer, a bowl of pho meant a drive toward The Woodlands or Tomball. Luc Lac Asian Cuisine changed that on June 14, when it opened its doors at 6875 FM 1488, on the stretch of the corridor closer to FM 2978.
The menu runs two lanes. The Vietnamese side carries pho, vermicelli bowls and Vietnamese coffee. The Chinese side goes to dim sum, orange chicken and a lineup of stir-fries. Ordering across both in one sitting is allowed and, we'd argue, encouraged.
The restaurant takes online orders through its website, and it lands in a part of town that has been hungry for options. The east end of FM 1488 has added rooftops faster than restaurants for years. A kitchen that covers soup weather and takeout night in a single stop earns its parking lot.
New restaurants live and die on their first year of local habit. If you try it, tell them where you read about it, and tell us how the pho holds up in August heat. We'll take that report seriously.
